The MDX Exterior

The latest version of the MDX is here and ready to show you what it means to be a luxury SUV. The front fascias is bolder than ever since Acura has redesigned the grille and headlights. The rest of the vehicle's exterior was also updated to add sharper edges and a more aggressive, aerodynamic look inspired by Acura's Precision concept car. Chrome detailing and alloy wheels add a certain elegance to the exterior, making it look more like the true luxury SUV it is.
 
It's not all about cosmetic changes; the bumper has been improved too and the new LED taillights offer better visibility from the rear. The new MDX is designer styled to stand out from the crowd, but also to stand out better on the road.

A New Interior

The 2018 MDX offers seating adorned with premium leather for a more luxurious feel, and genuine wood trimming that makes the interior much more gorgeous to scan over. The dash has been fully redesigned, incorporating an upgraded infotainment system with a larger touchscreen and more tech like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin comfortably accommodates 7 adults spread over a 3-row seating arrangement, and a telescopic steering wheel offers customizable comfort for drivers.

Powertrain & Hybrid Tech

The standard MDX has the same 3.5-L V6 at 290 hp and 267 lb.-ft. of torque, offering 10.7L/100km combined fuel economy which is very impressive and top-tier for luxury SUVs. The SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) option is also available, and 0-60 in the 2018 MDX takes only 7.5 seconds.
 
The 2018 MDX Sport Hybrid pulls up to the starting line and features the innovative three-motor Sport Hybrid SH-AWD powertrain alongside the Acura NSX supercar and RLX flagship sedan. A 3.0-litre DOHC V6 with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM), an integrated electric motor, and a Twin Motor Unit power the MDX Sport Hybrid, giving you the ultimate in both power and control. The system also delivers electrified torque vectoring for superior straight-line performance and precision cornering for unparalleled driver engagement and a true racecar feel. Outshining it's gasoline counterpart; 321 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque is what you'll get out of the new MDX Sport Hybrid.
